Weekly Geek
This week it’s all about judging books by their covers! Pick a book–any book, really–and search out multiple book cover images for that book. They could span a decade or two (or more)…Or they could span several countries. Which cover is your favorite? Which one is your least favorite? Which one best ‘captures’ what the book is about?
I obviously chose Pride & Prejudice because I’ve never seen a book with so many reprints and entirely different covers! It was a lot of fun pulling some of these covers, especially the translated versions! Here is some of what I found…
These are some English versions from over the years… I love the variety!

These are some international covers… they all seem notably different in style, which is SO interesting!

(These covers are in French, Spanish and Turkish).

That was an impressive collection!
I like cover no 6 and 16. On the whole I prefer covers which show the dresses of Jane Austen“s time.
I love that last one. Thanks for showing the international ones. So fascinating!
I love your choices! I love that you put some from other countries. There has to be hundreds of covers for this book I bet! You chose very nice ones to show us and if I saw any of them I’d read it. Oh..except maybe the last one!
I don’t like Austen. I gave away all her book to my niece!
Covered!
Great idea…I actually posted my response to this question on my blog using, Their Eyes Were Watching God by Zora Neale Hurston, feel free to check it out!
